WHAT SETS US APART?

To understand the risks and benefits of community development projects, investors need a nuanced lens that goes beyond the traditional ‘five Cs of credit’.

Seven Cs Collective was founded on the principles of the five Cs of credit—plus compassion and courage.  We need compassion to understand that unconventional projects, asset classes, and developers are no less worthy of investment, and often provide the richest returns in community benefits. Courage is a by-product of compassion, because projects that support historically under-resourced communities deserve to be looked at with objectivity, nuance, and creativity.  Seven Cs Collective strives to incorporate compassion and courage in our philosophy and practice by embracing and giving credence to these traits in the entrepreneurs and community leaders at the forefront of the work in their communities.

“Seven Cs provided tailored credit underwriting training for my team that thoroughly addressed their concerns and questions. Kathy, Sara and Eva took the time to get to know our culture and priorities and designed a comprehensive program that kept everyone awake, engaged, and enthusiastic.”
